don't worry, I plan on having open commissions for a longer time. Also if it'll be with my character, you don't have to pay for second character, you just pay for one character commission.

I hope so. It has been a bad year and if I can do something that gives me something to look forward to it would help me. In some ways things are looking up! I think you would have fun with a commission. Our characters have very opposite personalities yet have so much in common. I do adore your artwork. If only I could draw the way you do. I was getting good until I hurt my hands. But I can still build cars at least. That is why power tools are so important to mechanics.

I was getting pretty good for a while. I was mixing a style like Fred Perry for characters and George Trosley (He draws cars. Each of my characters has a custom vehicle.) But I hurt my hands. The ring finger on my right hand is only held on by the tendons and muscle. The cartilage is completely wrecked. I freak people out by pulling it out of joint and pushing it back up on top of the knuckle. I can't even write by hand without hurting for more than five minutes. I get what fishermen call "the claw" when the inflammation makes my joints tighten up. I also hurt my wrist and can pop it out of joint and twist my hand around! That has earned a few screams by people.

uh, that's really bad, I have hurt my fingers too(pinky and ring finger on right hand) , but I can use them normally, so it's nothing compared to your. How did that happen ?

When the fingers in the meat grinder happened I was cleaning the machine. It had this big hopper that we filled with the beef almost large enough for a whole cow. Inside there's a thing that looks kind of like a large pitchfork that turns and pulverizes the meat. At the bottom of the hopper the fork gets much closer to the walls of the hopper to pulverize the meat so it gets very tight. I unplugged the machine and was taking it apart to clean and sanitize it and that fork only comes out if it is in a specific position so I turn it by hand to get it in the right spot. But it is connected to a large flywheel and the fork keeps turning for a while. I knew this and I was just not paying attention as it pulled me in! My fingers looked like crushed grapes. I was pulled in far enough that my hand was in the large corkscrew part that feeds the meat into the blades. Fortunately I didn't go that far in. 
When I hurt my wrist it was, again, me being stupid. I had just built a new engine for my car. It's a race car and has quite a bit of power. I drive it to the end of the block and it makes this chirping sound which is just a loose drive belt. I forgot to tighten it down. So I leave the engine running and grab the part the belt drives and try to tighten it. That part is safe because I was only holding the alternator, not the pulley. As I turned the bolt to tighten it I turned it too far and my hand went into the belt. It didn't hurt my fingers too bad but it spun my hand 180 degrees on my wrist. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got back in the car and push the shift lever into first gear and my hand was just floppy. 
Amazingly I feel only a little bit of pain doing normal things. But when I do small motions everything begins to hurt. Writing, small tasks on the engine like using a screwdriver, that begins to hurt.
That car people say is cursed. It only hurt me once, but it is like it has a life of it's own. It has protected me from harm and even death. I was under it working on it when the lift failed and the car should have crushed me. It fell kind of sideways and was barely holding on to the edge of the lift. Another time I was in a bad car accident in it and I was totally unhurt. One of my friends it seems to want to kill. He will not even ride in it anymore. The most simple tasks like taking a tire off hurts him. It is almost funny! He calls it "Christine" because it's like the possessed car in Steven King's book. It's only ever hurt me once. I think I made it mad for some reason.
