Kiu Amasas, or Kiu for short, is an intrusive thought given life and sentience. Their host, a thirteen-year-old girl, was lying in bed one day thinking when a random panic attack struck her. She had been thinking of Kiu at the time, and when the first wave hit her, they got knocked out of her mind. Shaken, confused, and amazed at their new form, they admired themselves for a second... before turning to look at the shaking girl. This was what they were supposed to hurt? They shook their head, and went to sit with the little girl. She fell asleep after it ended, and Kiu expected to fade. But, they were still there in the morning. Ever since then, the little girl, who they learned quickly was a fan of science fiction, has studied and befriended the little thought.

Kiu has many moods, and he changes color to fit them. The pattern on his sweater changes with them as well.
