The shows are similair in a way. It's just that DP can't really be that gory or have that much psychological dept because it's supposed to be kidfriendly, it is a children's (although it is more directed at young teenagers) cartoon after all. But I guess that's what fanart- and fiction is for, huh?
Note: I haven't actually seen the show, Tokyo Ghoul, yet, but I have watched a few reviews of it and I really want to watch it. It's just that I don't think I'm able to watch so much gore...
(Just my luck; liking horror stories and psychological thrillers, but being repulsed of that sight of a lot of blood...)
