Description
So I've been dancing with the idea of this species for a while now and decided to start it off by making one for myself!

The species name is "Ormrael"! Beasts that are the manifestation of the "soul" that take physical form! They exist along side their "creators" however they are never to "touch" or meet as reside is on another plane (save for the "guardian class"), often making the Ormrael and it's creator never truly know of one another's existence. It is almost preferable because while each Ormrael is created from the soul of another being, their personality and emotional state will not always coincide with the soul from which they were born; They are not linked to their host beyond the moment they were created. That having been said, an Ormrael is created when a soul reaches it's peak of self awareness and their appearance and coloration derive from what exactly is identified from their soul host's self discovery. Different people have different views of their "true self" and some attain that awareness younger than others which may drastically effect the colors and markings you will find on an Ormrael! Once a soul has reached it's peak, it materializes in the form of an egg in the spiritual plane and that is when a Ormrael is born.

While not emotionally linked to their creators, Ormrael are still very emotional creates by nature as illustrated by the sand chamber on their chests. While the chamber may take on any shape, they are still present on all Ormrael! Within their chambers one will find a colored sand that represents the emotional state of the Ormrael. Contrary to popular belief, the presence of large amounts of sand is in fact not indicative of happiness but rather quite the opposite; Being ethereal beings, the heaviness of more sand weighs them down much like the heavy emotions of a person can do the same. That having been said, the less sand found within chamber, the happier the Ormrael is!

There is much more I want to write up about these beasts and other size/body type examples I'd really like to flesh out, but for now this is all I have visually! I'll update some more later with a full design sheet!
