Thank you for the comment! You did a huge work to write it!
You are right about folds and creases. Your point! Honestly... I forgot about this aspect.
And I'b glad that you've noticed that the father is big, I intended to do that. Because... this is what I remember from my childhood, when everyone was happy. The father IS the biggest, the strongest, the tallest man in the whole world. He could hug all of us, he could protect everyone, and he could spread his love at everyone.
Also I wanted my man to inherit this feeling through my drawing, that we're gonna be a family, and he is the strongest and the biggest for me, and some day he will lay like this, feeling that he is the...Stronghold, and his hands are the Walls, and there are these little, weak, cute, beloved human beings around him, feeling safe because he is with them.

You're welcome! Drawing folds and creases are a pain in the butt so I feel you. Thank you for the explanation of the father because you helped me realize I have been viewing art from a logical view rather then an emotional view which is just as important. I love that you use the proportions to help capture the essence of strength and love. That is so cool! I feel really inspired to try that out in my pieces instead of getting all wrapped up in the technicalities of everything. Keep up the great work

Thanks again! And go for it, try)
I first seen this idea on this painting by Surikov

This man used to be at the royal court, but he fell out of favor and now lives as an exile in small house in village. If he stands up, you'll see that he is much MUCH taller the his teenage children, and he barely fits in the room. He is not in jail, yet he feels imprisoned, he has not much space for any movement, and it is shown physically, but it has a metaphorical meaning.

That's so cool! Is he a character from a book?

First of all this is a beautiful piece, it evokes a nostalgic feelings of family and legacy. I think you did a great job picking the right medium, and method of execution for it. Your anatomy is very good, there is nothing here that would make you stop to dissect it. Your shading is also very good; there is plenty of depth that is added to this piece, while not going overboard for the concept. I like your choice of using sepia as well for the color, it adds a nice vintage look to this piece reminiscing to an old photo that future generations would be looking at. The composition is lovely, it is both interesting to look at, but also harmonious to the theme of this piece.
It’s hard to find faults, so I’ll just suggest some nitpicks instead. You could get a little more 3 dimensional shape out of your layers by varying your line weight purposely; it would also help in creating a little separation between objects. Nothing really glaring stands out, but there a little line weight inconsistency in places like the baby’s left arm or the mom’s hair. It also looks like this might have been taken as a photo, because there is some shadow cast over the bottom left of the image. It might have been your intention, but if not adjusting that might help better represent this great piece.
This is lovely, and an insta in my opinion. Excellent work, you should be proud of this one.
