Mezula has been waiting for a long time to be posted to the public and finally the time has come. She is part of a series of 3 spirits I made from my imagination. Most room guardians remain nameless until the owner names them but these particular three have very strong names that came with them. I have yet to decide on a name for their race though.
The other two: Rakul and Hasook
Her neck, wings, arms, and tail are fully posable and her legs bend at the hocks. Her markings are all hand dyed, including on the wings which are made from stiffened felt. Her horns were the first of their kind. I used the instamorph pigment pack to color some plastic black and then I used the skinner blending method to create a gradient from white to black. I use it all the time now because the color will never scratch off and it is relatively simple to do.
Mezula, unlike Rakul and Hasook, has a very showy personality. She tends to present herself suddenly and unexpectedly to provoke a strong reaction yet she does not care to remain long enough to notice what that particular reaction was. She is not at all influenced by the way people perceive her. She only demands one's attention and then it is up to the witness what they will take from the encounter. Though keen on being noticed, she never reveals her true intentions. Mezula prefers to remain a mystery. Perhaps the essence of epiphany, she is stunning and provoking in one moment of clarity, and reflected upon for the rest of one's life. Either way, whoever is stuck by her will not walk away from the encounter unfazed.
What is a Room Guardian??
Room Guardians are small creatures that protect one's home from negative spirits and energies. These friends can be easily placed on window sills, kitchen shelves, dressers, or wherever to keep watch over the room. Each guardian has a soft faux fur coat and each is individually sculpted from the wire frame to the clay face and hands, so no two are alike. Room Guardians are not plush, they have a solid body but their arms, tails, and necks are bendable and Inside each of their chests is a unique crystal heart to give each one a different energy. These little guys have a lot of character and they love having a home to watch over.

1. How did you come up with the room guardian concept?
The idea caught fire when a friend and I were walking through an antique store. On one of the bookshelves sat two stuffed foxes wearing riding clothes. I contemplated buying them because one could convince themselves that their expressionless stares were actually seeing and watching over the room. It was as if they were alive though they wer
