I must say, I'm entirely unfamiliar with "Berserk" and Kentaro Miura personally, apart from a few memes and snippets. I remember being quite miffed when a friend of mine told me about his "writing process". It was frustrating to know that an author can allow himself to produce new chapters of his manga once or twice a year, a manga that's been an ongoing for 30 damn years, and get away with it without being clobbered by publishers. Despite that, it's hard not to have respect for a man with a vision and talent to make that vision into something massively influential and immensely popular.
