I watched the lion king 2 and I imagine a scene between Kovu and Vitani. it happens before Kovu wants to jump on simba the day after his arrival:•

-Kovu: Vitani? what are you doing here ?
-Vitani: I came to see how it was going, and if you ever needed a backup
-Kovu: I know very well what I have to do, don't stay there you could jeopardize my plan!
-Vitani: hey okay ! don't start showing off because you're far from mother!
-Kovu: Im not showing off but I’m waiting for simba to come out of his cave and you're bothering me!
-Vitani :alright , anyway you're so good that you don't need me...
-Kovu: don’t worry Tani, I know what I have to do. Soon we will have this big rock and all this food. I promise you

Did you know, Kovu never shares one line of dialogue with either Vitani OR Nuka despite the fact they're supposed to be siblings? The closest was Vitani asking Kovu if he wanted to fight but he doesn't verbally respond. As much as I love TLK 2, it was missing a lot of key scenes like this.

I am with you, but the way this writer crafted this scenario it really does not advance the plot along. This version is sadly all unnecessary dialogue slowing things down. That's not good.
