Last week certainly was a packed one and now I have some fun stories to share with you all! For a while, Glittapop had been telling my friends and I about how she was going to be part of a huge My Little Pony photoshoot. The thing about the shoot, however, was that despite the group members' efforts to cast a Twilight Sparkle, they unfortunately weren't able to get one. A couple weeks after hearing this, I was lying awake in bed one night during which I absolutely could not sleep. It was four in the morning and I somehow started thinking about how unfortunate it was that they didn't have a Twilight, then I thought about how "hmmm you'd need a purple sweater for that cosplay... And maybe a skirt and-- oh my gosh, I HAVE THOSE THINGS." At first I thought I was kidding myself in thinking that I could put the cosplay together, but then realized that such a possibility was not far off at all, so I texted Mikayla immediately to see if they still needed a Twilight and after hearing back that they did, decided to spring the idea of me filling the role on her. Needless to say, she was pretty thrilled. X3

Now, I only ever watched the first few episodes of MLP a couple of years ago and although I always thought it was cute, for some reason never followed up on it. However, I remember Fantasyrhia telling me that I would probably be Twilight after I asked her who I would be were I to cosplay one of the characters, so the fact that Twilight was the one that was needed for the shoot seemed a little serendipitous. I've been in the situation of having a cosplay group for a con or photoshoot and being upset about not having one particular character, so I really wanted to help out since Mikayla seemed to really want a Twilight and I had 98% of the things I needed lying around my room already to pull the character off, so I'm really glad that this all came together. ^.^ Plus... I kind of really wanted an excuse to match cosplays and be all cute with Mikayla since she is probably my favourite Pinkie Pie out there (not to mention an amazing cosplayer in general). >w<

I put this cosplay together in about 3-4 days and it came out exactly as I'd envisioned it! ^^ The afternoon was sheer and utter magic, I am still cherishing all the amazing memories I have from that day. I look forward to sharing more from the shoot in the near future. In the meantime, here's the obligatory photo my dad made sure to snap of us before we headed out to the shoot - I absolutely love it and I'd say it captures the vibe and excitement from the day perfectly. :')
