So! *Fantasyrhia and I had a crazy, cosplay/poké-filled sleepover this weekend. Our original intention was to go and take advantage of the lovely fall foliage around town this time of year to get some shots for all of the cosplay contests that are running this month, however, it was raining - heavily - alllll day yesterday, so we had to go with plan B which was indoor shots.So we got tons of nice shots using my in-home studio! I've tried getting photos this way before, but only ever had myself as the photograher which always seems to fail, but this time around, with Rhia and the tripod I was like "oh my gosh! Pro shot time!" so I threw my Touko on since I haven't gotten any shots of her since she got re-vamped.
Alors, here's a little preview of Touko 2.0; I was upset with how some of the parts of this cosplay came out the first time (mostly being the hair, shorts and... My lame-ass posing), so I've since given her an upgrade. As you can see, her hair is more accurate now thanks to advice from Rhia, I am now posing correctly and I also got shorts that are actually the right length (but not stupid-short as I LOATH daisy dukes) since last time I used knee-length shorts that I kept up with safety pins. OTL

As for the hat, I actually just bought a plain white one and then added the pink on. You can find plain white caps at Michael's for $5.

No, I actually used pink fabric - I traced out the bill of the cap and made a pattern for it (.. Well, actually, I started doing that before my Mom swooped in and took over

Yeah, I understood it. xD But my sewing skills are only limited to a few things and I know next to nothing about patterns orz (Unless you counted grade 8 Home Ec...)

I imagine fabric paint would work - I've never used it, so I'm not the best person to ask.

I was thinking that the bill could be sewn on, but yeah, the stencils would or as well, or I could also iron the design in if I have those special paper. : D

Yeah, I think any one of those methods would work, the key is to make sure that the colour is consistent with the bill and design.

And then post-Touko, the ponytail was combed into a beautiful ponytail for the first time in quite a while.

My bedroom has track lighting that gives studio-esque lumination. The lighting shines towards my window, so when you close the curtains-- da-da-da-daaaaa! In-home studio!

Hehe, no. No I was not. x_x My face, dude, I had no idea how to work my face... Or my legs, or.... Yeah. I only posted the good sitting down shots since the ones where I was stading up were pretty fail. But now I gots my act together! :'D
