gah im severly pissed
my computer shut down on me and i lost two hours of comics and all the editing on my school papers x(
including my contest entry for missmcr

I was trying for what you did with your eye picture; any kind of color background, didn't have to be a rainbow, but I just wanted to preserve the luminosity of the the photo behing it... and that's what I got by accident :-p
I was trying to follow a tutorial given by..... gosh, forget his name now.... but he does beautiful eye makeup work and posts it on DeviantArt.... but he gave a tutorial... I'll have to find some of the stuff and post it.... but later if you don't mind, it is 3am for me and I need to sleep, so I can get up for class later :-p.

i find its usually best to make a different layer for each adjustment you make
like have the original, and then copy that, and then make a new layer for your colors
then for that layer, you switch it to overlay and play with the opacity and contrast levels
have fun in class
