Description Hello!


One more artwork from your Aoi-no-Kokoro.

This time I portraited the Annunciation.

"Why?" you ask. Because I promised Our Lady "If I pass the OTOC Access Exam, I will paint the Annunciation!"

I passed and here it is the drawing. It's painted like I used to paint the others - not that much effects on shadows, but also very cool.

Our Lady appears barefoot in most figures and paintings, that's why I decided to draw her like that.

Actually, Mary is asked if she will be the mother of Jesus. She's given a choice in the matter and chooses to say yes.

Buuuut,
You need more emphasis on the shadows. They look too bright. If you want to give the feeling that the Angel is glowing, you could make the shadows bright in some places and have high contraste to have others really dark. But the way you made them right now just makes the image a lot less impactant than it could be.

It's not a matter of making a dark image It's just about making the shadows a little more opaque. You shouldn't be hiding forever behind such concepts as "I don't like very dark images", or "this is my way of doing things". I think your work would do so much better if you'd made the shadows darker... But then again, it's my opinion.
