parrots in colchester zoo, why don't they fly away? i had to edit a bee out of this. try and take a photo of a flying bee and you'll wait all day to get a good shot, try and take a photo of something else and they fly right in to frame...Related content

Incidentally they dont fly away because thier wings are clipped. I used to work in a pet store that sold parrots and military mccaws and they clip several of the feathers in the wings which makes it so they can't fly for more than a few feet. Thats assuming that was a serious queston LOL... if not pay no attention to me.

i did know birds can have feathers cliped, i assumed they would have had but you'd still think they'd try and make a hearty break for it every now and then
