You didn't mention, but are they characters from something? Or just random original characters.
I like how the guy is smiling, his smile gives it a really nice feeling. The bluryness is a good effect as well. And not to mention that he's holding her hand, and like dragging her along. Having the girl half out of the picture is kinda interesting, and I think gives it an air-of-mystery (but not the mysterious kind) effect. Love it!
Sorry if that made no sense..just trying to say how much I love this picture, even though I've prob already said that many times.

You must not like to draw girls. This picture looks & feels so unfinished. The boy & girl holding hands would have been great ...if you didn't split the girl in half like the boy is the only thing that mattered. The girl was justed added so he is holding hands with something. Better yet, you should have just chopped the girl out altogther, so that the picture focuse solely on him without the choppped off girl part.

Nah, I actually love drawing girls, I even find them a lot easier to draw. It is, however, true, that I don't draw them often partly because when I was younger I had a life-lasting fill of Anime girls with big boobs and revealing outfits that resulted in me just not finding them interesting for the most part... to say the least. There's few anime/manga girls that I truly respect as characters, sadly. ^_^; Then again it goes for celebrities, too.
But yeah, about this pic; I meant to focus the pic more on the boy, but not him alone - his love for someone. He's the one who's, so to speak, 'saying' the lyrics, trying to bring her out of her shynes and just love love for what it is (just like ~perfectskylines said some comments ago). It was not meant to portray an equality/couple/finality concept nor would it have made sense to cut the girl out (who would he be interacting with, otherwise?). I wanted to outline the dynamic component by half-cutting her out, both becuse it should leave the viewer wondering what's wrong with her to hide and if they will ultimately make it, if he'll manage to bring her into the frame to make an actual couple. That's the reference to 'The World will follow after' because they're trying to become 'each-other's world', they're not there yet, even tho they seem to be walking the right path.

I guess, though none of those things crossed my mind when I saw the picture. Then reading the lyrics just confused me as to why it was so boy focused, and why the girl looked like she was being cut out. Now that I look more at the position of her head ..I kind of get that, but it still doesn't seem to fit your meaning very well. I think you need to work on posture and poses a bit more, because this is just my opinion again, but a forward shot with him reaching out to her, and the back of her head only in view with a look of hesitation in her reaching out to him would have been better. Also, doing this on a stage would have made the lyrics fit better as well ...like he is actually singing that to her, and trying to get her onto the stage. Then there is always the picture where a person is leading her to him, and she seemes to be hesitating ..even while he is on one knee reaching out to her on stage with a microphone in his hand.
It just would have driven him your idea a thousand times better than this ..in my opinion again, because ...art amazingly enough isn't so straight forward that my views have to necassary be true. What I see, no one else might, but this is all my opinion so all I can do is give you my insight & nothing more.
I know you want to say that it doesn't seem like a couple/forever thing, but in your picture they are already holding hands ..so she doesn't come off that shy. The cut off just looked ...kind of like well ...you didn't want to draw her fully. That is why I asked, that and I notice you do a lot of ummm...guy on guy sort of things.
Though after reading your reasoning, I can see why.
Girls always get the short end of the stick in anime ...either as an sexy object, or a moving breathing pun of how ...they are not ..a sexy object. Sometimes, you just want to seen an anime where the girls are given the proper respect that they deserve.
