Description perhaps I shall upload the sketch some time as well^^ they have quite alot of differences, due to watercolors being such ashaky media
So it is, watercolor and afterwards colored pencils, cause i had to save the piece hahah and add details.

butterfly is from my JApan-photo stash, lil poseur, she just wanted to be photographed from all angles hahah ^-^

and Hyde is Hyde, ne.. I hope he is still recognizable^-^

it is the real type of butterflies I saw in Japan - used my own photo for a ref of it hehhe.. and I met the lovely creature in the temple. So there is indeed both personal and universal symbolism, if we want to get down and dirty on the deeper meaning ^^ <3

Well watercolors did distort the initial sketch... I'm glad he still has the feel ofHyde, let's just prtend it is stylised version ^-^~

Yeah watercolor is very difficult to work with. There is the alternative of gouache which is a bit similar but more opaque, but the stuff I have smells so icky. I really enjoy watercolor though, you seem to have a handle on using it dry.

hahah, yeah, him.. albeit i spoilt the sketch a bit, watercolors leeked and it was hard to maintain the features.. but me thinks it is OK... next time a reason to try harder~
