Just a reason to draw Hound and Mirage together
I'm willing to bet that a high-maintanance mech like Mirage would frown upon playing in the mud. Heh, but Hound, Mr. Park Ranger himself, would probably enjoy rolling around in the viscous stuff.
And just to get on Mirage's sour side, Hound has to take a handful of mud and Splat it all over Mirage.
Ain't they cute happy lil' mechs?? I call first dibs on hosing them off
And first dibs on mud-wrestling them next!

Well, I've get Mirage remembering the first time he meet Hound, perhaps I can work in that he remembers the first time they encounted mud?? Hound would be "Yah!! Isn't this great!!" And Mirage...... "NO!!" Hound: "I'll help you wash it off...." Mirage..." Okay..."

I remember going to see the naturalist David Bellamy when I was younger, I see Hound as something like him......... Everything about the natural world would be utterly fascinating!! Mirage thinks nature should be tamed and all clean and tidy!!

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't be all fired about rolling in the mud, and I'm not particularly high maintenance. But I can see the allure of the eventual 'make up' and cleaning episode after.

Working outside all the time, I don't like getting snow or mud on me. Not even muddy shoes. Hound would definitely offer tp help Mirage clean up, whether he feels bad about getting Mirage dirty or not is up in the air. It might have been Hound's plan all along just so they could have a private bath together ^^
