You didn't get the tsundere part at all, did you? That was a famous quote of tsundere characters. They put all their heart and soul in making something (drink, bento, chocolate, etc) for the one they love, but always yelling that "Don't misunderstanding thing! It's not like I make it for you, I just happen to make an extra" because they're tsundere. It's very famous when it comes to tsundere characters so I think everyone knows it.
