Ah, this brings back memories of when I was young and naive and believed my friend when he said he made the Lass's Jigglypuff explode. And can I just say, I love that you're training a Rattata. Even if it is Nuzlocke rules that force you to catch the first Pokemon on each route, you're still training her (him? It? I wanna stick with her, but I'm not certain), which I think is awesome.

Yes, she's a girl. Rattata and raticate are two of my favorite pokemon. I really prefer to not switch pokemon off of my team for any reason, which comes back to bite me later (since I have no electric, fire, dark, grass, ground....).
As for the jigglypuff story... xD That's a really fun coincidence.

It was strong because I didn't train my team well enough before I fought Brock, and I didn't train them after. The spearow was level 14 while my team was level 12. Spray didn't have water gun yet (squirtle learn that at 13 - I forgot to include that he learned it after the battle!), and bubble is weaker than tackle, so I had no offense until I switched in Colonel.

I probably won't, don't worry. ( for a while, at least ;D ) I thought he was going to die, too. That's why I wrote the comic like that. I probably won't spend so much time on a route after this unless someone dies. :\ I don't want to comic to go too slowly.

I can't count the number of times I laughed out loud, and MY GOD Spray ;A; You had me WORRIED woman!! He can take hits like a boss.

Oh, good. I was worried that this page was rather weak when it came to humor... ;; And I really wanted to see if I could make people as worried as I was when I saw his hit points drop and drop and drop... But I didn't want to make it too dramatic, because then I wouldn't be able to get an emotional response when I did lose teammate.
And yes, the blastoise line has incredible defense and special defense. :3 Spray has survived a critical hit vine whip while staying in the green. (That's not much of a spoiler, though. I wasn't going to show that part)

I guess that's understandable, since they're turtles with hard shells I had to get in a fight the other day whether the Squirtle line were turtles... or squirrels with shells.
