Haha it is pretty good, I have had NO homework, due to study hall and the fact it is all pretty easy for me, despite the fact they are honors classes. Band is... quite frankly a disappointment. I don't mean this as any sort of boast, but I am by far better than everyone there, except for one senior. I have had to teach the other Saxophone how to play a concert Bb scale, as well as a chromatic. She had no idea what it was, and thought Concert Bb was a warm up... but hopefully it will get better with time, though I must admit I miss doing jazz. I also joined the school soccer team, which is awesome, although we start conditioning in October (weights and stuff, eek! ) But my birthday is on the 24th! I am so excited Not for the gifts... just knowing that people care

Soccer is cool! I'm mediocre at it, and mediocre isn't good enough for the school team. If I were better, I'd play. I ran on my school's track team in 9th grade and was acceptable at that...
You're very lucky to not have homework. On the other hand, being in classes below one's level sucks.
My school's band is pretty bad too. But I joined the regional youth orchestra! I look forward to that. Our first rehearsal is next Monday. I've got another week of driving school. After that, I still have to get loads of hours driving, and since they're changing the law (GRR) I have to wait two more months, but it's a step closer to my licence. I'm back on academic team, doing model UN, and am on my school's yearbook staff. Oh, and I joined chess club. Last year I came in second place in our tournament, and so far, the only kid to beat me hasn't signed up. Hahahahaha!!!! And I've improved enormously over the summer. So far I have 16 college credits, and in this year alone, if things work out perfectly, I'll get 15 more. It's very possible that I'll only be able to get 11 more though... But next year I'll get a bunch more. I'll easily break 40 college credits before the end of senior year. I could probably break 40 just in the first semester of senior year... It's very exciting.
And finally, my school's French teacher agreed to let me sign out a French I textbook even though I'm not taking the class so I can teach myself the language. I'm taking Latin I at the moment, but don't really like it. As my schedule is now, I'm signed up for Latin II, but I think I'll switch to Piano I next semester. I consider myself somewhere between conversant and fluent in Spanish, and I'm hoping to be trilingual before I graduate high school. I'll also be almost completely done with undergraduate college math, and I'll have a bunch of other miscellaneous college credits (like 8 English credits, 8 history credits, 4 or 8 physics, etc).
I realize I get carried away, but it's all very exciting. My life is looking good

Yeah. And the three day weekend is great too
Greek, I am sure, is tough. Are you learning modern Greek or ancient Greek? I can read the Greek alphabet, as well as the Cyrillic alphabet, but I can't speak the language at all. If I see a word, though, I can pronounce it
I was sort of a medium distance runner. 500m is considered distance, but it's the shortest that is. 400 is a sprint, as is 200. It may seem odd that there's only 100m meters difference between sprint and distance, but I can tell you from experience that it really does make the difference! If you try to run a 500 like a 400, the last 100 will kill you. After my first 500, I was in agony. I mean it was real pain... almost like when I broke my arm, but it didn't last too long.

Better to have it work intermittently than not at all.
