how did you create the foldey form? with a wooden knife or rib on the wheel? or did you do this off the wheel?

I did this with a wooden knife/stick while it was on the wheel. I worked from the bottom to the top. First I was gentle, but gradually put more effort behind it while pushing out with the inside hand.

what does the slow controlled cooling do? I like that glaze, and am interesting in reproducing this affect.

It means that after you reach your peak temperature, say 2350F, you crash cool it to somewhere between 1900F and 2000F. Make sure your kiln is able to reach cone 10. For the most part I got all my recipes and firing schedules from this website [link]

Yeah that's jar I was going for. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted. That's the fun of it though! it's always a surprise.
