Lovely shot indeed.
Those black spots (I don't know if your scanner was dirty or if it's film deffects) are what make the shot, for me. They match his troubled expression. The lighting and quality are beautiful, too.

what exactly were you thinking about at the moment of taking this picture? Not like it was cold but what was it really that was on your mind?

Well, this was taken during a walk in the woods behind my house one day when it was snowing. Sean had been going through a rough patch in deciding what he wanted to do with his life (he is dropping out of college), we lit up some cigarettes and watched the snow fall. I honestly was thinking about this quiet serene moment and the contrast to which was going on in his head. I think his expression says it all.
