Another quick doodle from my Moleskine. I did this one yesterday evening. It's not really done in my "style" but I felt like doing something simple with clean lines. Things have been a little rough this month in my personal life, a lot of sad news and I needed something to cheer me up. Who could be better at that than Totoro? :3If you're having a rough time too, just think of Totoro's fluffy belly! It worked for me. :'D

Well, you're welcome, plus I love that scene, he does look so fluffy and nice... ! What I'd give for a little nap on his belly.. Other than that, from Miyazaki, I way prefer Mononoke, have you seen it ? It's just not the same thing though, not for the same age. I wish I had seen Totoro when I was a kid... I saw it only like a year ago, so I see it differently now. What about you?

Mononoke is so amazing! It was the first movie I saw of him when I was 13, I guess. I was staying with a Japanese family for a few days and they showed it to me (in Japanese ^^). I didn't understand much but they tried to explain and despite being a little shocked because it's definitely not a film for kids I really loved it. Years later I had forgotten the name but it was on TV and that was when I truly discovered Miyazaki. *___* And then I watched a lot of his films. I don't remember watching Totoro but I also really wish I had seen it as a kid. :3

Shocked by Mononoke? Are we talking about the same movie? It's not shocking, particularly not when you're 13. I mean, i guess it depends on your sensitivity ! For me, it's the Last of the Mohicans which shocked me when I was 9 or 10 ! I still can't watch that movie ! too painful XD

No, I didn't go to Japan. (: I live in Düsseldorf and it's also called Little Tokyo because we have lots of Japanese companies and therefore lots of Japanese families here. I was basically just around the corner but it was a great experience!
I found Mononoke really violent and bloody and also creepy. It's not Disney. :'D And I still find it brutal. My 13 year-old self full of stereotypes only knew Pokemon.

You certainly know more German than I know French. :'D And I agree, it's an absolutely ridiculous language and on top of that way too complicated. Even us Germans don't know how to speak or write it properly which makes it even more ridiculous.

German is not ridiculous, it's funny, that's different ^^. French is very complicated as well, but German is much more logical than French !

French is nice to listen to, German isn't, apart from foreigners speaking with a strong accent, that's cute! And yes, it's logical but... ugh. I prefer English.
