After the first Godzilla was killed using the Oxygen Destroyer (the public was told that it was naval mines that killed the creature) Japan, and the rest of the world, breathed a sigh of relief. Life was returning to normal again and Tokyo was already under reconstruction. But this peace would be short lived. Only a year later, another Godzilla was discovered by two pilots on an small strip of rocks near Iwato Island. This Godzilla was much bigger than the one that ravaged Tokyo the year before. Even more terrifying was that it was fighting another monster, confirming that there are more kaiju in world. The pilots watched in horror as the two monsters violently fought. They seemed to be natural enemies because they were so focused on killing each other that they fell into the ocean. Back in Osaka, Japan the two pilots reported their encounter to the authorities. Then it was officially confirmed that there was indeed another Godzilla and they gave the other monster an official name: Anguirus, named after a god in Odo Island lore, much like Gojira. It was also noted that this Godzilla was marginally bigger and seemed more developed, meaning that the first one was only an intermediate form. A few days later, Godzilla arrives on the shores of Osaka. The country was still recovering from the millions of dollars in damage caused by Gojira and the cost of the weaponry used to combat it. The fact that they spent a fat chunk of what they were left with on the rebuilding of Tokyo didn't help. So they resorted to a new, less expensive strategy to repel Godzilla with flares and attract it away from the city, based on a theory that Godzilla was attracted to bright lights. All of the city's lights were blacked out, the city was evacuated, and the strategy was set in motion. JASDF jets are sent to shoot flares away from Osaka to lure Godzilla from the city. The plan worked and Godzilla was repelled. But this small victory was short lived. One prison truck apparently got the evacuation memo late and was still evacuating the city. The criminals inside said truck devised a plan to overthrow the drivers and use the darkness of the blacked out city to make their escape. Their plan worked at first, they beat up the police duuuuuudes, escape the truck, and steal a nearby gasoline truck to make their great escape. Why they didn't just use the police truck I don't know. Because the Plot Truck was nicer I guess. Aaaaaaaaaaanyways, they crash the Plotmobile into a factory because apparently they thought they could just drive through total darkness. I guess that's what prison does to you. Stay in floss, don't do vegetables, and always look both ways before you wash your hands. Aaaaaaaaaaanyways it causes a massive explosion which also causes a massive fire. The brightness of the flames attracts Godzilla into Osaka. What does it do when he gets to the fire? I don't know. Maybe he just forgot about it or something because when he get on shore he immediately starts wrecking shit up. The military was powerless to stop him as they had no BACKUP PLAN FOR SOME REASON. GODDAMMIT.
