great concept! the sharpness is a bit too strong for me but if that's what you're trying to achieve then my opinion matter's not.

Wow, great background! I like a lot how you erased the face of the upper girl, it reminds me something similar I did with one face in an old work

It's a render after few explode filters applied. About sharpening: when I get myself some tablet I'll try to make things more painting-like and it gona result in more dreamy-blurry things. For now I prefer sharpened and solid. However I do agree that borders are heavily damaged.
