This is a really wonderful illustration of Karien Pryde in your realistic style for the 10,000 kiriban!
First of all, I really love how well you put a lot of hard work on how you did her hair flowing down her body as well as the incredible amount of detailing in it as well as her kitty ears surrounding it.. As for her facial features, I like how you did her mouth (including her lips) as well as her green eyes.
Next, you did pretty good on how you did the clothing as well as the extensive amount of colouring and shading. You have worked so hard on this illustration very well and I'm proud of it!

If I had to think of one thing to improve, I would add a bit of light highlighting to the tail, it looks a bit flat compared to the rest of the image which is a shame but overall a fantastic piece!

Very nice! I love the fact that she actually looks like a real person! Her shirt and tail look a little less detailed in comparison to her, but still it's all lovely! The lips are really standing out to me, haha so awesome job with those especially. Amazing "simple sketch"

Your definition of simple sketch, is my definition of "OHMIGOSH THATS SO AMAZING WHY CAN'T I DRAW LIKE THAT?!?!?!".
I see what you mean though, since its not as detailed as some of your other works.
I really love the way you color faces and lips, I wish I could color like that. (I can't color at all really. Its too hard. OTL)
The tail looks a tad bit funny, but everything else is perfect.
Overall, lovely work! Sorry to waste your time rambling on.

I think I probably should have done the tail more, but I was getting kind of lazy at that point. xD Thank you for the sweet words. If you do studies from real life and read tutorials, you will pick up on lighting stuff.
I can't color within lines to save my life. o_o
And I do appreciate it a lot, it isn't a waste of my time. *hugs*

Yeh, I know what you mean. I'm always getting lazy on my drawings. That is really amazing though!
I hope so, I've been experimenting a tad bit with colors lately. I have a long way to go though. I never colored when I was littler, NEVER. When I was a toddler and my mom tried to give me a coloring book and crayons I would get mad and yell I wanted to draw my own picture, why did someone else draw on my book?
I'm better with a pencil usually, but I want color.

I'm the exact opposite. I'm HORRIBLE with pencils. Like, a ten year old drew it or something.

Ah, I see. When I use a pencil I can shade really good, but when I draw on the computer you can't shade the same and, in effect, I can't shade.
I draw with pencils a lot, but my scanner doesn't work and I don't have a usb cable for my camera so I can never upload anything. Some of my best works have been in pencil though. OTL

Yeah, if you could get the pencil in somehow, you could just throw some colors over the top of it and then clean it up a little bit. Usb cables are down to like $2 or $3 on Amazon, you know.

That's pretty something for a 'sketch'. Feels like a semi-realism/painted mix. And I agree about the hair, it just so... well, don't you wanna touch it somehow? And the fluffy ear poofs... Which May lose you your face if it were a real cat. XD *Is crazy enough, gotten 3 claw marks on leg for that.* Though I don't think the tail is that big/long though, unless, perspective?

Apparently, "sketch" doesn't mean what I thought it meant, because people on dA keep using it to refer to stuff like paintings and shaded work and whatnot. This is good, and while I can see why you feel the need to differentiate it from your hyper-polished work, it's definitely more complete than what I'd think of as a sketch. Also, that hair. I need to stop spending so much time gazing at that hair. Have I mentioned that I like hair?

Well, I don't usually do a lines sketch... and I definitely could have taken it a lot further. So for me it is a sketch, because I don't have an actual sketch to... sketch? xD I dunno.
Because this took literally like 1/4 of the time of my normal paintings and I didn't render it out as much as I could, that's why I call it a sketch. xD
I do like the hair too.
