oh goodness gracious it's adorable! I'm working on that pattern now, coincidentally. Doing it with really funky colored yarn though, as per my niece's request. The yarn is like, neon yellow, pink, blue, orange and black.

I'm definitely asking you to many questions...
But, can you give me a picture of his back/wings, I don't know how they should look according to the pattern.
Maybe I should give you my e-mail through a note for the picture?
thanksthanksthanksthanksthanks

really that is super cool, i can only knit, have been for about 5 months,
should learn to crochet now though so much cooler XD

aphid777 In reply to LightningChaser [2012-03-22 23:03:45 +0000 UTC]

You should! It's actually not bad at all. Most crocheted plushes consist of only one type of stitch with increases and decreases in the right places. You'd probably catch on even quicker since you already knit I personally think it's a little easier than knitting.

got another question: how do you decrease? When I do it the stitch get a bit thicker than the others.
There are other ways but when I do it you keep seeing it

i'm halfway it's head now

aphid777 In reply to mangoest [2012-03-20 18:54:49 +0000 UTC]

Here's a youtube video on how to decrease (looks like the same one I do at least): [link]

I think the stitch will always be slightly thicker than the others since it's 2 stitches becoming one. To help with that, I usually try to make the decrease tight and the stitch after it tight as well so it'll hold together better. Hope that helps!

Thanks, again
That's also how I did it, maybe it's just the yarn that makes it weird.

It really is!! There's so much shaping that most amigurumi patterns don't have. I'm really enjoying making it.
