Description So this Pooh bear is based off of this picture: old.wallcoo.net/cartoon/disney… that my roommate sent to me She really loves Winnie the Pooh so I decided to make him in order to write out a pattern for her, though I might just let her keep this little guy. ANYWAY, ENOUGH RAMBLING. Here is the pattern.

**Again, PLEASEEEEEEEEE credit me for the pattern should you use or modify it since I spent a lot of time figuring out and typing it up and please don't sell the character or pattern as I do not own the character. Also, let me know if I've made any errors. Blah blah okay

This is the cutest crocheted Pooh I have ever seen!  Thanks for creating it!  I have no intention of selling him, but I hope it's OK if I give him for a gift.  I'll credit you in the card.

You wouldnt happen to have a piglett pattern would you? My grandma has always loved piglett and she'd really like a laying-down one!

You can take this pattern, get pink yarn, and make a pig nose and piglet ears.  I've done it..it's really simple. I've also done Rabbit, Eeyore, Tigger, Lumpy and I'm working on Roo,

All I can say is, I luv it!! I'm currently working on it now and wow... let me just say, it's so adorable!! This makes such a great gift to someone and you'll get the jist of it once you know how to crochet. It's fairly easy, that is if you put effort and patience into your project.

Ok, let me try this again, errors in last query, disregard it.

I love this pattern. Little problem with the shorthand, though. When you say, for example, Sc 3 inc, i understand single crochet and increase, but what does the 3 represent? And if you're only adding 6 more stitches to get from say, 18 to 24, do you do 2 sc in every third stitch, or do it as a cluster somewhere? I may figure it out as I do it but thought it might save time to ask.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AariCynward In reply to Elise1220 [2016-04-06 13:56:53 +0000 UTC]

The 3 means that you should do three single crochets in a row, and then do the increase

vonCreutz In reply to AariCynward [2017-02-09 19:50:20 +0000 UTC]

Hey there. Could you please explain the abbreviations used here? And I've seen those somewhere else too. I've figured out or seen in the comemnts that sc = single crochet, inc = increase, dec = decrease, but I still have trouble understanding sl, st, incx, FO... etc. Could someone enlighten me, please?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AariCynward In reply to vonCreutz [2017-02-18 07:16:45 +0000 UTC]

FO means "fasten off," "incx2" means that you'll do two increases in a row, and "sl st" stands for "slip stitch"

WickedGodess [2016-02-08 07:41:27 +0000 UTC]

You state in the pattern for the head that the f/o should be in the middle of the back of the head, but in your photos your head is crocheted up and down not front to back. When you say the f/o should be in the back midline, do you mean that it should be connected in the middle of the back of the head? I am just curious, because there is no way to fasten it off in the middle of the back of the head with the way you have the pattern set up and how you have the doll assembled.
