Description I finally finished something, yayyy!!  Here is Momo from the Avatar series.  I'm entering him into current contest: Pet Crafts.  More info can be found here: September's Artisan Crafts Monthly Challenge .  He is literally a pet, but I suppose he also showcases my "pet" craft

Momo is fully wired and pretty poseable.  His wings are made of fabric because I learned how to use a sewing machine recently  I didn't want to crochet the wings because it tends to look a little sloppy and I wanted thin, paper-y wings.  I stitched the edges to prevent fraying (we'll see how that turns out in the long-run).  As for the stripes in his ears, eyes, and brown markings, all of that is needle felted.  I suppose this turned out to be quite the mixed-media project

I can't I can't I can't. He is SO perfect, you did such an amazing, job, as always, but his range of movements has no end! He's literally a replica of Momo. If Momo were real.
I need more photos of him. Please go take him outside and have a lovely photoshoot while Momo forages in the trees and does goofy flying-lemur things.
I'm loving the fabric-wings. That was a great idea to use fabric instead of crochet; it really gives the wings the thin papery quality one would expect.

Thanks so much!  I'm definitely going to have to take a photo-shoot of him outside!  I haven't gotten around to it yet.. maybe after I make Appa..  I have to work a little bit on my sewing and fabric work, but I'm glad I made the decision to use fabric.  I don't think I could have pulled off crocheted wings for him

Appa! I don't think I'll be able to handle it! I think if you got the shape right, you could have definitely made crochet wings work. It'd just be near impossible for the arms to hold up their weight. And they wouldn't have looked as authentic as these ones do. He looks like he could jump and fly away.  The fabric wings are definitely worth the effort.
