HEY GUESS WHAT? I'm not dead! ahahaA birthday picture for , sorry that it is sooooo late! I hope you like it!!!
So this is the first serious drawing that I've done in a long, long time, so I hope you guys like it! It was a pretty experimental piece for me. I tried a bunch of new techniques on this one, and I'm pretty proud of it!
While I was drawing this I was constantly thinking about what the story behind this image would be, and this is what I settled on:
The giant fish is an albino koi that lives in a small river deep in the forest that borders a castle. The boy, who is the son of a nobleman, frequently takes walks at night through the forest to escape his troubles. One day he caught sight of the giant albino koi and took a liking to it immediately. Ever since then, the boy has visited the koi every night to talk to it.
boy: you know mr. fish, sometimes I think you're the only one who understands me....

Do you mean enlarge it more than the original size of 833 x 2000 pixels?

This picture really caught my eye. In the thumbnails saw this long vertical image with only a small vibrant orange pinprick of light in darkness, and just knew there was going to be something interesting in all that darkness. It really captures that night time feeling, of that vast darkness at night and how it makes you feel alone and small in the world, but not in a frightening way, just a way where you might just have peaceful, self-reflecting conversations with a fish.
