i tried a new coloring technique i saw somewhere and only colored where the shadows might be, but it doesn't really have the effect on marceline, who's mostly in shadow here. :c
i may also fix her too-short left leg, if i remember to.

Oh goodness, I love how Bubblegum's going on her toes! And the coloring, too... I actually quite dig the coloring style! It makes them look as if they're standing in bright, bright sunlight.
The image looks sort of pixellated at parts though? And blurred? Or just, I think I'd like it better if it were a little smoother. Well anyway the good far outweighs the bad, and like I said!! Tip toe hugging is the sweetest thing, my gosh.

the blur and sharpening is something i actually did to break up the fluidity of the lines. i'm personally a lot more bothered by the anatomy problems i left, haha!

It looks really interesting how some of the parts are really sharp and other parts are kind of out of focus. I also really like how you just see their eyes and you can still tell so much about how they feel. :]

it's a bit up for interpretation, though. the outfit marceline had to wear WHILE she was singing about how pb doesn't respect her made me overthink about how her character really can't leave the house until after the sun goes away without covering up completely or burning to a crisp, and how sad that would beeeee.
the effects are just literally sharpening and blurring. :0
