This plush is made with minky, faux luxury fur and faux rabbit fur, as well as metallic beads for the snake bites. The "chain" is machine embroidered and "floats" on the plush. They lay at about 12 inches from the tip of the nose to the back tips of the legs. The details on this plush are machine embroidered and appliqued. None of the accessories are removable. The "shading" on the claws and chain are stained with alcohol inks.
Funfacts!
Jianyu was made using my Lazy pony bean pattern! The biggest difference is the head and the length of the body. The torso, arms and legs were stretched just a tiny bit to fit extra details in!
The faux fur used were all colors I had in my stash! Some of these colors are 3+years old.
I figured out what the technique used for the chain is called too late! I've done this a few other times, but always struggled and didn't know the name of the embroidery... style. It's called Free Standing Lace! I figured out the proper way to do it after the chain was made and hope to utilize it more in the future!
