When he was still a mortal before he was bitten and turned into a vampire by his sire . he starts off as kind,polite, hotheaded, and respectful * But when he was turned into a vampire by his sire he's become more laid back and friendlier, he would rather ignore his responsibilities just to goof off and live the life of a normal Kerasan ( as in not livining as a prince* But when it comes to his friends and their well-being, he always comes around

When Charlie was a mortal he was shot in the chest by crescent and fell off the cliff and lands in the water where he nearly drowns and a vampire dived in to save him and brought him out of the water and bites him turning him into a vampire. Charlie killed his sire because he was being abusive towards him treating him like a slave and then sometime after he killed his sire he joins the liberty fangs
