HEYA, on twitter I'd run a poll asking what people would be interested in if I did up some stuff for bgs and got a huge response, so in the spirit of New Year's resolutions, I did up a big guide(?) on tips and ideas for getting started and improving with doing backgrounds! I thought I'd post it to dA too.Nothing in this is particularly cut & dry or set in stone, it's just a bunch of stuff I've picked up over the years that might help get the ball rolling! Good luck!! :^)

I know you ran this as a poll on twitter but I was just wondering if you ever thought of making a tips and tricks for dealing with multiple characters in an image?

OOH I could give it a try sometime! I don't know if I've actually done it enough myself to provide anything especially insightful, but I have done a lot of posing two characters together or interacting that I could maybe think up some things to cover? 🤔

Yeah! You may not see it, but I think it's a strong part in your art. You always seem to pick such interesting positions for characters that have them interact in ways that just tell a story. On one hand it maybe that you pick good references. But I'd be interested in hearing your thought process on it.
I maybe a mostly silent watcher but I really do enjoy your art! it's really good stuff!

AAAAA WOW this is one of the sweetest comments I could've ever received, thank you so much!! Honestly it's something I never even purposefully focused on, character interaction is something I just... LOVE drawing, more than anything else (maybe 10% of my draws of characters together even makes it online, I do so much of it), so the fact that it actually has come out as a strength is incredibly humbling and an honor to hear! Maybe I will look into doing some stuff on it after all?!
