Day 11 - Symphonia AU Idea: AU Where the Journey of Regeneration in Sylvarant is a public spectacle

Perhaps in a Sylvarant where the people have lost faith in the Church of Martel, the Chosen's journey turns into an event that the people follow and watch like one might watch a sports game; they crowd at the seals to watch the Chosen battle to prove their worthiness as they move through the Angel transformation and the people bet on their success as they work to gain reputation so as to be supported by the people; a well-liked chosen would be treated kindly by inns and merchants, whereas a disliked Chosen might have a hard time getting by, which would heavily affect the success of their travels. The Renegade's duty would be to do anything they could to thwart the success of the Chosen as far as destroying their reputation among the people--a hated Chosen might have such a hard time that they might give up entirely, or even suicide if they aren't killed by angered citizens if they aren't by the challenges of the seals; or even a successful one might see their death early on, due to the social pressures of having their every move judged by the entire world. The Church of Martel would, meanwhile, be entirely against the idea of the journey being treated as such away, concerning the fact that it still is a journey for world regeneration, and that only a true Chosen who believes in this and in the Goddess Martel--ex. Colette--would be truly successful. The culture shock after traveling to Tethe'alla would be interesting, as well as the reverse, when the party would return back to Sylvarant.

There's all kinds of holes and gaps in the idea, as I didn't really delve into it that much; it just sort of came last-minute, haha... It was the only idea I had that I could think of a decent composition for, art-wise. -shrug-

THE GAME WOULD BE SO STRESSFUL IF THIS WAS THE CASE THOUGH, AHAHA... I probably wouldn't enjoy playing it.
