Tokyo-born to Miyunos Masahiko and Komugi, difficulties conceiving brought Akio to them later in life, but a week before his expected delivery date; though they were relieved at his birth, both such prior elements combined with paranoia looming from difficult family medical history on both sides caused the couple to dedicate themselves to doing everything in their power to make sure that he grew up as safe and healthy as possible. Their first step was moving away from the bustling city environment to the calmer Yanagawa, near his mother’s relatives, where he grew up heavily safeguarded and fawned over.

But concern for health and safety was something that he embraced and grew to prioritize as he got older, both for himself and others; though he ultimately became very knowledgeable about wellness, he also learned vastly about potentially harmful aspects of life, and developed his own fears of them—both in regards to anything bad happening to him, but mainly in the fear of his parent’s reaction to anything bad ever happening. He didn’t let that keep himself from getting out, though; despite his (often voiced) anxieties, he grew up extremely sociable throughout his school years.

He kept socially and physically active during those years, as well, joining the soccer team in middle school, which he continued with upon entering high school; he gave it most of his time, using it as an excuse to get closer to more people, constantly surrounding himself with peers both on and off the team. One of those included was student council president Minato Kouji, the news of whose unexpected passing had come very much as one of those terrible things he so feared.

☼ PERSONALITY:
Light, sociable, and extremely extroverted, Akio fuels himself off of interactions with others. The more emotional an individual is, the more likely he is to be attracted to the idea of socializing with them; though rather emotionally stable himself, he loves to witness ranges of feelings and draws his stamina from them, though at times can drain others with his own energy. Very restless and lethargic when alone, he make every effort to keep himself surrounded by people, regardless of character, and is always eager to impress.

Toward those people, he’s always friendly and personable too easily develops care for their well-being, often going to needless extents to keep them well or out of harm, giving him the tendency to make one-sided bonds—often obliviously to the will of the other person.

His care for people stems from his determination to avoid anything bad happening—be it towards a scenario, in regards to someone’s health, or simply anything bad, as the atmosphere he grew up in caused him to develop a mindset that any of these Bad Things ever happening would hold unimaginably dire consequences. It came about within him having witnessed such effort being taken through is childhood to avoid them, that surely the worst would occur if they were ever allowed to happen. Though logically he knows better than this, the deep-rooted feeling unshakably remains, and he regularly goes to exaggerated extents (often to the irritation of others) in his efforts of avoidance. It gives him bad habits of overreacting and spiraling into panic over the insignificant, but he can be brought out of it with enough reassurance.

○ An average student at best; doesn’t fall behind, but doesn’t stand out as far as grades go. Intends to move on to study IT.
○ Tech nerd; originally got into technology to impress his uncle that runs a computer store in Tokyo, but ultimately just took a liking to it. Likes building & supporting computers; prefers working with hardware.
○ Visits said store several times a year to spend time with his relatives; overly-romanticizes Tokyo as a result.
○ Despite his father being the oldest of his siblings (his mother’s an only child), he’s the youngest of all his cousins.
