Skills and abilities:

Martial artist: retained from the host, Shade was always skilled at using pressure points to disable a foe.

Unnatural strength: being possessed by a demon has granted him strength beyond his mortal frame, strong enough to pick others up with ease and slam them through walls, and wield his great-axe and tower shield effortlessly.

Near-immortality: being possessed by Styrian, the god of chaos makes him the champion in the gods uprising, and there are few things powerful enough to achieve the feat of killing this god, one is Xerys, his counterpart and goddess of order, one is Dravanis the dragon that flew through the void before the universe existed and the others are three weapons, Lightbringer, the blade of Xerys and given as a gift to her champion, Hell-Cleaver, the axe that Tenebrae himself wields, and a spear known only as destiny's lance.
(note that immortality does not equal invulnerability as Tenebrae can be injured and defeated)

Mimicry: Tenebrae is skilled in assuming the form of others, often leading them into traps by becoming someone they trust or using this to sow confusion, the only flaw in this skill is he cannot replicate unique artifacts like spirit swords.

Absorption: Often the fate of those lieutenants who commit the unforgivable sin of failure, he can dissolve a person into darkness and absorb their essence along with new powers, this has only been used on dark beings and monsters so its use on heroes etc is unknown.

Weapons and Armor:

Hell-Cleaver: the Great-axe of chaos brimming with darkness and demonic fire, capable of dealing devistating smashes and little can counter this mighty blade as it comes crashing down.

Dark armor: mostly for protection and intimidation but enhances the wearers dark powers.

Chaos Shield: a huge tower shield provides a primary line of defense in battle it bears the mark of chaos in a large burning and evil emblem that is painful to even look upon.

Dark Helm: the most important and necessary piece in the dark armor, when worn it suppress the will of Shade Rushall in the events that his mind begins to rebel against the demon in his body, the consciousness of the hero Shade was, still remains so both the Shade and Tenebrae personas are often in a battle of wills.
