Description LRS-061-F 'Miyuki' (Land)

Medium = Std. Notepad Paper with 2 HB 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil (freehand)

We're are coming up on almost 17 years since I originally came up with the concept for 'Miyuki' - and she wasn't even called Miyuki back then! She was just an idea I came up with one day during school (1998) - my teacher saw it and thought that it needed to be submitted into a competition that the school was a part of and submitted it on my behalf. I made it to round 2, but no further, and I never got my original sketch back

A year later (1999), during another school competition, another teacher remembered that I had done the sketch and remembered roughly what it was. She approached me to ask if I could build a 3-D model of the original for part of their project about the future. Not only did I do so, but since I was the only one that could talk about it, I got involved as a project presenter and helped lead our team to victory! Once again though, I never got to keep my original. That was 'misplaced' by the school, and never found again.

Many years later (2007?) I decided to return to the Miyuki concept because, after having lost the first 2 prototype designs, I wanted a copy of the design for posterity. That led to Miyuki-3 (linked below) Over the 2 years following, I came back to the concept to refine it and introduced Miyuki-4, and Miyuki-5 in rapid succession (linked below) Miyuki-5 actually remained the pinnacle of the design from 2009 until this year- 6 years!

A couple of months ago, a friend was looking through my sketchbook and said that, while he liked the evolution of the design, he didn't think it screamed 'High Speed' so much as 'Brute Muscle'. Even though I told him that that was my intent with Miyuki, he felt like she would benefit from a much neededc (in his opinion) design change. Well, she went from family transport in Gen 1, to military speeder in Gen 2, back to family speeder in Gen 3, and subsequently performance racer in Gen 4 and 5. She's seen many changes, but overall, her lines haven't changes too much. So I figured I'd give it a try with a change in body shape for Gen 6. Make no mistake, She's still the same angry, fast racer, but now, perhaps she looks the type, with components designed and installed for optimizing performance, as opposed to brute-forcing performance. What does everyone thinK? - Should this be the new direction for Miyuki, or should she go back to the roots established from Gen 1 - Gen 5?
