Ah photoreferences...how i love thee. Well, i did for the hands anyway. I sat and drew like 40 hands so i feel a bit more confident with them now.

And yeah she totally does! When i was sketching she just kinda appeared but i thought, yeah...Amelie will totally fit this image!
