Description This was my AKT-98 RPK. It's a "trainer" rifle as some people say because it's actually chambered for .22 LR instead of 7.62x39.

Very rare gun; about 500 were brought to the US. There is a shorter, standard AK version also but about 1,100+ of them were brought over.

The magazines in the picture all hold 10 rounds even though they look like they should hold more.

Sold this one sadly and kind of regret it.

hmm, looks like a yugoslav copy of the rpk. kalashnikovs in the former yugoslavia are made to take the standard m16 round and/or magazine, and those mags are exact to that of the m16

Well not exactly M16 mags because they don't fit in my M16. The rifle itself is Romanian but the magazines are converted East German AK magazines that were originally chambered in 5.56x45. The internals were gutted and replaced with a ten round housing for .22 LR.

Still miss it though, I always look for odd/unique/rare firearms.
