Description
We are born from a seed,A flower yet to bloom.
Starting as a tiny bud
Arising from the dawn.
We grow, we change, do what we might.
Against rain and wind, buffeting through the night.
At times we droop, our petals hang - we can't believe our plight
Then the sun comes out again, there's no giving up the fight.
At the peak of our lives, a rose in full bloom
Is comparible only, to the glory of full moon.
We turn our faces to the sun - release;
A new cycle has begun.
We drop our seed, we wilt and lie,
Soon we know, our time has passed by.
Hanging our head and drooping our eyes
Falling asleep, beneath blue skies.

yes, and in the last lines, i imagine both a wilted flower and an elderl person going to sleep underneath a tree in the sunshine.

yeah.. too often... people have a real problem with a sense of superiority over nature, like they honestly believe they are above it all; superior to everything else, and yet, they are actually only a tiny part of an extraordinary picture

this is a very nice comparison. it's fresh and not sappy i'm liking it. i like the omission of some minor words as well as the sentence structure, it really keeps a nice rhythm to it. and now i want to say thanks... i just really really do, because i really like saying thanks. nice poem
