A game about mining. Yes... a game about crafting. yep... building? yes... fighting? yeah.. exploring? yes. This isn't just any game. This is a game about whatever you want to do. Live a happy life in a house on peaceful mode. Assist villagers with their day-to-day life. Explore caves, searching for diamonds. Fight creatures. Build stuff. Befriend mobs. Build more. Find obsidian. You know the drill, build more. Fight and enderman. Build more. Find a stronghold. Jump in that end portal, you are about to end that dragon's whole career.

This game has insane amounts of memories, nostalgia, and things to do. It's insane. I started playing when I was 8 I think, where dad finally bought me a minecraft account. My first world.. I had no idea what I was doing. Digging up blocks. Making dirt huts. Picking flowers and making dyes. I had no idea what I was crafting or what to do at all, and when night came, I didn't know what to do. I got scared when I suddenly got hurt. I turned around. It was a skeleton. Yeah, I quit that playthrough real quick because 8 year old me was terrified of a skeleton that tried to attack me. I even believed Herobrine existed back then... Good times. I remember the first cave sound I heard my brain automatically connected the dots to herobrine and I quit that world too. I was just trying to build an underground base gosh dangit...

The music for the game is beautiful too. C418 absolutely nailed it. Every track seems to play at the right time. You get an ambient, quiet track while exploring caves. A slow, pleasant track while cutting trees in a forest. It surprised me when I found out the game plays each track at random with no data based on what biome you are in, how much HP you have, what light level you are at, etc. It's amazing.

I love this game. I love this to death since I first joined in the 1.4.7 days. I may have lost my first survival world... but I can keep on going. I am glad Minecraft is becoming mainstream again.

Happy birthday, Minecraft. You are only 1/10 of the way through your planned lifespan... Have a good future.

Oh yeah, I'm also pretty hyped about Minecraft Earth. This seems like Pokemon GO 2.
