Description
I have tried using Marie's ( note: this is a brand name.) Chinese color inks on cartridge paper. Oh man, I must have treated it too much like watercolors, which is not good. * shakes head*I am very amused.My name is Marie, so my brother treated it as a joke.
Critiques (but not comments) ARE NOT welcome, since I wasn't seriously doing this art.
Tribute to who is my first watcher on dA. ^^ She likes Samurai Deeper Kyo art a lot.
Shinrei is a copyrighted character of Samurai Deeper Kyo series.
I am going to darken this artwork later.^^

What's the difference between Chinese color inks and watercolor anyways?

Hm...the difference between them is pretty thin, however, Chinese ink usually has more dull colors than watercolors. The huge difference lies in how they are used.For watercolors, you can layer the colors but for Chinese ink, one or two layers are enough, which translates that it is a bit more difficult to handle Chinese ink(since you have to constant mix the colors...tiring) than water colors. However, the bright side is for Chinese ink (as used in landscape paintings, still life Chinese paintings etc), you can outline the objects.XD
Since I'm still a beginner in Chinese ink, it is more tough to differentiate the two.

Good question.^^ Chinese ink ( or Chinese colors) are cheaper than many watercolors, depending on the quality. The ones that I use are of middle quality, so I'm too sure either.

I absolutely love Shrinrei, he is such a complex character (at least in the manga) Beautiful watercolour, I love the blending of the blues, greens and purples.
