Description
This creature is the first in a really short series of drawings (but I'm planning on picking it back up) that were conceptually meant to have come from illustrations out of a fictitious book of shadows. Drawing heavily from Lovecraft mythos and it's variations, I really enjoy drawing monsters because there's really no requirement for shape and size.... just go nuts! The paper is tea/coffee/denatured alcohol stained, and the brown inks were a combination of several different colors mixed with various amounts of water/denatured alcohol to get the varying transparency. The language is totally made up symbols, but I looked at Hindi, Japanese, Arabic, and Futhark for inspiration.
