La nuit semblait défigurée sans ses étoiles. Le vent, perdu et affolé, soufflait dans tous les sens, entaillant l’océan de profondes cicatrices. Le monde avait changé si précipitamment. C’était désormais le théâtre douloureux d’un animal hurlant et se débattant tous azimuts. L’univers, captivé par ce spectacle, se jouait de notre boussole, jouissant de la peur qui emplissait nos corps inévitablement. Nous n’étions que des morceaux de bois, flottant dans une flaque, dont un enfant aurait cherché à éprouver la résistance, en y jetant des cailloux toujours plus gros. Les vaisseaux résistaient aux assauts mais la rage tempétueuse allait bientôt dévorer les voiles. Nous n’étions plus des hommes, nous n’étions que des brindilles à la merci d’un enfant-dieu qui s’ennuyait.

Comme à la sortie d’un rêve, Calypso jaillit soudain des eaux. La nuit, dont les étoiles étaient toujours absentes, se teinta alors d’un rose impossible, parant le ciel d’un manteau d’une palette incroyable. Ces couleurs avaient elles un nom ? Nous sentions que ce maudit jeu avait pris fin. Il fallait rentrer, nous allions rentrer ! Calypso flottait et faisait naitre dans son sillage l’espoir du retour à la terre. Cette terre, quelques cailloux qu’on oublie si vite quand on la foule du pied, était devenue aujourd’hui notre paradis, notre trésor.

Nous oublions si vite la valeur des choses, nous devenons si vite aveugles, comme si les choses avaient toujours été et seraient toujours acquises.

Au loin, un enfant avait quitté une flaque d’eau et quelques cailloux, avant de rejoindre sa mère. L’attente avait été si longue mais il avait réussis à se calmer. Il avait été tant en colère mais finalement il s’était dit qu’elle avait peut-être raison : il pourrait attendre noël prochain pour avoir son nouveau jeu.

The english version
The night looked defaced without its stars. The wind, lost and scared, was blowing over and over, gashing the ocean of deep scars. The world changed so precipitously. From this time forward, it was the painful theater of an animal struggled all out. All the universe, fascinated by the show, deceived our compass, enjoyed of our scares which were filling up our body inevitably. We were looking on a puddle, like wood chips floating with which a child was verifying the resistance, throwing pebbles always heavier. The ships resisted to the onslaughts but the tempestuous rage was starting to devour the sails. We weren’t humans, we were sprigs at a nod of a bored child-god.

Like the way out of a dream, Calypso emerged from the waters. The night, still denuded of stars, was begining to blush with an impossible pink, putting on all its finery with a coat of an incredible palette. Were there words to describe those colors ? We were understanding the cursed game ended. We should back home, we would back home ! Calypso was floating and arising in her furrow the hope of the return to the earth. This earth, some puddles that we used to forget easily, became today our heaven, our treasure.

We forget so quickly the value of thing, blind, as if things would be there for eternity.

Further, a child leaved the puddles and the pebbles then joined his mother. The waiting was so long, but he was calm down now. He was so angry about her, but he realized she might to be right, he could wait the next Christmas to get his new game.
