Description
One of her (the 4 yo's) favorite episodes is Season 4 - Bats! She decided she wanted to paint Apple Jack with the Vampire Fruits bats flying up from her. This time I remembered to take a time-lapse so you can see how we do this together. On cardboard as usual. Basically involves a lot of pre-taping by me so that she can paint without worrying about getting the background or other painted parts messy.Check out the Speed Paint video here!

Thanks! Yep, just regular cardboard from a package we got. It always feels great to paint on cardboard since you feel like you can't ever mess it up (unlike a canvas for example which makes me nervous).

While I have never used this type of cardboard to draw upon it, several layers of it with some adhesive foil (to make it resistant against rain) made for some nice wings in a little pegasus cosplay I once wore for a pen and paper RPG. Also a box of that type of cardbord is what I attached all the mirrors in my recent pipecleaner Rarity image too. It sure is a material with many uses

They are visible (albeit not very clearly) in one image of the MLP larp event at the Czequestria 2017 (an awesome brony meetup in Prague) where I was cosplaying my OC Leafhelm. It's not a very elaborate Cosplay.
Just with me wearing brown clothes to match the fur color of Leafhelm, buttons with his Cutie Mark on the pants, a helmet a Lyre and the wings. When the picture was taken I was also wearing a hacket that was not part of the cosplay. Anyway, here is that image:
While looking up the above picture from my stash I found I got one other with the wings in better view hung up on a wall in my room (underneath that helmet):

Very nice; I love the way the background adds to the mood. The hot and cool colors blending together somehow seem to accentuate AJ's feeling of trepidation.

Thanks for noticing! I was worried that the background wouldn't work so well, but I think that the strong yellow complementing her hair and bringing out the bats ended out working well. It does fit with her expression too!! I really appreciate the comment
