... mebbe not. Catching Fire published in September of 2009 and I think Applejack started using that phrase early in the series, when it premiered on The Hub one year later in September of 2010.
SuCo and the MLP:FiM writers could've been thinking about those characters using that type of dialogue around the same time. Well, I dunno how long it takes to animate stuff, and when that script was thought up. But SuCo could've been coming up with the details of Finnick's dialogue easily as early as 2008. I wouldn't say like years AND years.

I don't think The Hunger Games Trilogy ever influenced Hasbro's current My Little Pony writers or vice versa. They don't really have anything to do with each other. I was just spontaneously reacting to your signature.
Except the Mane 6 are better Strong Young Female Role Models than Katniss. Trollolol!
I am also one of the few MLP:FiM fans who just watches the show like a normal person (I watch it on an actual TV, on The Hub or on demand whenever I can) And I have next to no fanart craps in my faves right now.
