This has been finished for a while, but I finally got it back from the framer's this weekend (as I'd done the work a little close to the edge, and didn't want to ruin it by trying to do it myself after spending so long working on it)So finally the finished work. I'm really pleased with how it looks, and the way the simple gold frame compliments the cross stitch.
The dragons are supposed to represent the four seasons, starting with Spring at the top left, and then moving round clockwise from there (which seemed more logical to me than their suggestion which had autumn and winter the opposite way round... I like it being a cycle...)

Yeah they do, or at least they did - I had a few people asking me which one it was when I had a WIP up, and it's proved pretty difficult to track down again...

Lol, it took me digging through every partially done cross stitch pattern i had before I could find the package to that one so I could label it with the proper title and company that made it XD

Thanks! Yeah, the purple one is my favourite too, it was the reason I wanted to do this actually! And they're meant to represent the 4 seasons, going clockwise from spring in the top left... <3

Ah now you mention it, I can see it, its really clever. I really like the snow flakes for winter and the green leaves for summer, and the pretty blosseming flowers and the brown leaves, so basically I like everything xD

I don't know exactly how long it took, because I've worked on many projects in between, but I worked on it on and off for just under 3 years... it was almost exactly 3 years ago I started it, but it's been at the framers for a while...

That would be totally awesome on a pair of jeans actually! The chart came from a Cross My Heart Inc book called "Dragon Faire" I think, if you're interested in creating it for yourself! I don't know how available it is these days though as it was a fair few years ago I started it!
