That makes me miss living in Norway.

Oh it's been quite a long time ago. The first time I lived there (Halden) for one year, was back in 1992-1993. I returned again in 1995 and unfortunately have not been back there since. It is such a shame, so beautiful and such wonderful people. I'd love to live there again, but it is hard to get a visa.
Jeg snaker norsk men det er ganske daarlig. Jag prater inte svensk. LOL. Sorry for the horrible spelling, my computer doesn't haven any proper letters on it and to top it off I haven't written Norwegian in years (maybe 10).

Thanks. No I know it's not too different. Similar to the idea between British English and American English. You can usually understand, but sometimes there are words that have a completely different meaning or you just don't understand at all. Then sometimes the accent (and regional dialect) are just too difficult to understand anything. I lived only about 20km from the Swedish border, so I got to hear it fairly often. Actually, it was much easier for me to understand than other areas of Norway (say the west or north).
