Description Oh look, a close-up! TFP Knockout at AWA 2013

Photography by

Helm and gloves by as HelmHat commissions

The rest of the costume was made by me.

ps. I painted and sealed the helmet to match the costume. In all of the other pics you can't see the stain leaked down the face but in this one you can tell a bit. That wasn't done by Laserbot, that was done by me when I sealed and finished it.

i love these close up shots! ohh i love the helm painted like that! I think i like to give it a shot of my own may i ask what you used my friend?

out of curiosity would you be able to paint on the white of the face with white paint and seal it like you did for the other to cover up the drip?

I'm sure I'll be able to repair my drippy-spot.  If you don't do the seal-with-glue route, fabric paint works well with craft foam.  It's meant to sit atop of porous surfaces.  You can also use markers.  Seriously.  For the black to darken the mouth and eyebrows I used a black prismacolor marker.  Ha!  Prismacolors don't eat up the foam like Sharpies do but the color sits well.  Crazy huh?  Even acrylic paint will soak in but markers or fabric paint work well.

I thought you'd like the close-ups for your site since it's got a great focus on the helm.  Just credit Fanboy Photos if you use 'em.  He's really great about letting folks use his pictures as long as he's credited.
