Description The Delegation, by Aramadeus (Genre: Surrealism, Medium: AI assisted Tools / Digital hand painted image)

"I believe in the future resolution of these two states, dream and reality, which are seemingly so contradictory, into a kind of absolute reality, a surreality, if one may so speak." - Andre Breton

"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." - John Lennon

As you can see from thumbing through these pages, I work in several different art genres including Surrealism. That’s probably because put simply, I’m able to, and why limit oneself to a small window of creative output when there is a world of possibility out there.

β€˜The Delegation,’ like the majority of my Surrealist works is characteristic of Surrealism as a genre, in that its narrative origin is subconscious as opposed to observed or inspired consciously within this world. As such even though I am the source of its creative origination, I can at best only guess as to the theme in play here.

This piece bears resemblance to other creations I have completed since returning from an extended living period in China (12 years), and can probably be attributed as can they to being a composite of narratives from that time, assembled in unison having initially been filtered through my subconscious like dream fragments.

Ultimately I suppose its up to you to attach meaning to this image, and it’s almost certainly this egalitarian feature of Surrealist Art that is attributable to the appeal of Surrealism and its longevity. After all, whom amongst us does not relish the opportunity to be able to complete a story...

...and so...over to You.

Thanks for viewing β€˜The Delegation,’ and as always thanks for coming by. See you again soon. Peace.

Purchasing my work

Most of the works I have on display can be arranged for purchase. The prices vary depending upon the piece, as each take different amounts of time to create (obviously) and my price points are calculated accordingly. The more complex the piece, the higher the price point in other words. The other thing to keep in mind is that I don't sell copies of my work, I sell the originals as one time single purchases. The ownership transfer process can be done through Deviant Art and includes a legally contracted rights (including reproduction rights) buyout, including a transference of the original work files.
